Loblaw 5K Run

    General InformationStarting on Hoskin Ave, just west of Tower Rd. on the West side of Queen’s Park and running south on the west side of University Avenue to Wellington Street, the course turns north on to the east side on University Avenue to the finish line opposite Hart House. More than 4000 participants are expected to help raise funds and awareness for the programs and clinics at Princess Margaret Hospital and our other beneficiaries. Please consider raising pledges.Please be aware that participants in the 5k must be able to complete the course in 1.5 hours. Visit our Race Day page for maps and transportation information. For the safety of all participants, we strongly recommend you do not wear iPods, walkmans, or similar devices which inhibit your ability to hear surrounding sounds.

Start Time

12:00 Noon – Start at Queen’s Park

Sorry, no in-line skates, roller-skates, bicycles, strollers or dogs will be allowed on the course.


Aid Station & TimingThe course will be marked every kilometre.  All events will be timed using the BibTag timing system.


Race Kit

  • Kit Includes: Bibtag, shirt, sponsor samples, and promotion materials
  • Pickup Location: Direct Energy Centre, 100 Princes’ Blvd.
  • Pickup Dates: Friday May 4 and Saturday May 5
  • Pickup Times: Friday 10:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Kits will not be mailed. Anyone can pick-up your kit at the expo. They may be asked for identification and your confirmation number (if you registered online).

There is no race day kit pick for the 5k. You Must be wearing your BibTag to particpate. For information on inserting product samples into race kits, please contact our office directly at 416-920-3466.


ExpoThe GoodLife Fitness Toronto Marathon Expo is FREE and open to the public during registration/kit pick-up at the Direct Energy Centre, Exhibition Place, 100 Princes’ Blvd. ALL participants, including RELAY TEAMS must attend the expo to pick-up their Race Kits which include a shirt, BibTag, and product samples from our sponsors. Brunello Pasta Dinner

All competitors are invited to our pasta dinner on Saturday, May 5th, 6:00 PM at the Toronto Hilton located at 145 Richmond Street West. Cost is $35.00 for participants and guests. Please be sure to check box on the entry form. Only a limited number of tickets are available! Please buy your tickets early and avoid the disappointment of missing this all you can eat pasta feast. Join Kathrine Switzer, Roger Robinson and John Stanton – founder and president of the Running Room, for an informative seminar and question and answer forum. This event is considered one of the best Pasta Dinners of any marathon and sells out fast. Please reserve early for this all you can eat pasta feast.
